Using concrete to make interior design is quite a noticeable trend these days. Do you remember the version of Le Corbusier’s Grand Comfort Chair made in concrete and steel by Stefan Zwicky? Maybe it wasn’t so comfortable as the original but surely it was highly expressive.

I don’t know if you like concrete chairs, but what about concrete and lighting? I found a DIY concrete pendant lamp on and love it because it’s stylish as an expensive design luminaire but it’s really cheap and simple to create.

Concrete creates an inhomogeneous texture that becomes even more expressive with the small holes created by air bubbles while drying. You can build lamps with different shapes, using different plastic bottles. Have a look at the video, choose your plastic bottle and follow the instructions step by step. Have fun!
