During the London Design Festival 2012 we had necessarily to visit  100% Design, the more "institutional" part of the festival, very similar to the common business fairs all around Europe. What distinguishes the London edition is the design: innovative yet not too experimental; something you'd really love to place in our home.

What did we most noticed and appreciated?

Here a short preview for you. Stay tuned, the most special things and the most interesting designers will be described deeper in future exciting installments! :)

It takes just 10 to 20 minutes to assemble the “petals" lamp by Vita!

Interchangeable “petals” made from polypropylene, polycarbonate and even goose feathers are easily assembled around inner illuminated frames, creating soft glowing lamps that mimic the overlapping scales natural forms like artichokes and pine cones.

Proudly english (did you have any doubt looking at the lightinig tea pot?) lamps by Original BTC England.

HAT LAMPS by Mars Hwasung Yoo from Korea, who set up the independent design studio BYMARS, based in Stockholm. He works primarily in product design, focusing on everyday objects in playful shapes.

Did you notice that? 50's are back!

Vintage pattern for the sofa by BARK furniture.

Living room furniture by James UK

Is it maybe time to forget the old-fashioned shelves? Magnetical hanging systems are spreading around and we like their effect: amusing yet functional.

Nice brand identity and presentation for the Austrian Magic wall, a magnetic shelfing system for the kitchen.

Magnetic Spirit from France, a modular magnetic set of boxes to display everywhere.

Wake up! The gift or object to surprise your friends is a design one!

Nice clocks by THEHAKI

Impressive and stylish patterns on high-end traditional Wales wool. Design by Melintregwynt.

Cool selection of objects for the perfect design-home by Klickity. Thanks to the nice packaging these products are also a ready-made gift.

TAVOLINO AIR is a multitasking table-cushion by Korean JOODESIGN. Turn the cushion upside down and it turns into a table. Turn the table upside down and it turns back in a confortable pillow.

A special mention for Czech Republik's stand: we have been hanging around it for hours. So many nice designs and brilliant ideas! Just to show you some:
