To guide the Inner Design Bike Tour during Milan Design Week 2012 we have three special designer guests, who know Milan and its unique design spots like the back of their hands. The Rossignoli bicycles used for this event will be exclusively decorated by design studio Tagmi for Inner Design.
Also participating on our Bike Tour is the new and upcoming brand Fuga specialised in cycling apparel. Read on for more information!

Dario Riva formed as a strategic designer at the Polytechnic of Milan in 2000 and dealt with the communication and art direction for some of the most famous agencies in Milan. After the Masters in Design Management at the Polytechnic of Turin in 2004, he worked as a project manager for prestigious companies and brands in the Italian and international market; retail design, marketing & communication strategies.

In 2007 he founded with Edward Perri a creative studio and the handicraft brand, where he collaborates as creative director and head of communications. Among other things, he is also teaching a course on the Culture of Projects at the Design Academy NABA.

With a Diploma in Interior Design at the European Institute of Design (IED) in Milan, Matteo continued his studies with a Masters in Shop Experience Design at the Polytechnic of Milan. Since 2001 he collaborates with cultural associations, public and private companies and architectural firms as an expert in graphic design and 3D modeling systems. Between 2003 and 2011 worked with architectural studios as an interior designer, focusing specifically on residential construction. Since 2007 he collaborates with the European Institute of Design as professor of "Graphic Design".

Deepening and widening the creative disciplines described above, in December of 2011 he founded LOSTOODIO, along with David di Mattina and Julia Vrespa.

Danilo Leonardi was born in Milan in 1981. His training began at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Brera, but becomes fascinated very early on by the world of craft, where he develops and tests his designs in shops in Milan and abroad. After a period away from his city, he returns to Milan, where he attends the Polytechnic of Milan, following the master's degree in Industrial and Interior Design.

After meeting Valentina Antinori, graphic designer, he opens the design studio Tagmi, creating an environment that highlights the fusion between design and manual work.

Danilo Leonardi’s activities are characterized by a continuous research and experimentation with new forms and meanings of the product, sometimes in contrast with the traditional patterns of industrial design.

Until the green revolution takes place, where cycling becomes an elegant and chic mode of transportation as well as being smart and sustainable, the meeting of Tagmi and Rossignoli is an important event. Rossignoli, the historical bicycle brand in Brera, is partnering up with Tagmi to promote the project Fix Your Bike.

Inner Design has the pleasure of working with both brands in the Bike Tour project. The ten Garibaldi 71 bicycles, provided by Rossignoli for the event, will be customized with graphics designed by studio Tagmi for Inner Design.

What is Fix Your Bike?

The idea was born from Danilo Leonardi’s passion for bicycles and his desire to customize and renew them in time, without spoiling the original painting.

Fix Your Bike is a ‘customization kit’ (7 pieces, designed for a bike that measures 60) composed of graphics designed by Tagmi and printed on a special polymer film of long duration (up to 5 years) previously used in the world of motor vehicles, as decoration or advertising banners.

 ***FUGA cycling apparel ***

FUGA 192 is the eco-mobility road wear thought for the contemporary city rider, designed for his dynamic lifestyle and the symbiosis with his bicycle.

FUGA is the Italian word for “escape”. In cycling it refers to the breakaway of a single man or a group of riders, detaching themselves from the front of the peloton.

Fuga means to escape from outdated and vacuous fashion logic to address a new, responsible and aware user who decided to embrace a different and more sustainable lifestyle.

FUGA garments are made with precious natural fibres and manufactured in district of excellence with the “made in Italy” guarantee.

FUGA 192 is a set of up-to-date limited editions, with no season nor collection, continuously evolving thanks to the dialogue with its responsible user.

192 are the kilometres of the legendary breakaway of Fausto Coppi, “l’Airone” (the Heron), during the “Giro d’Italia” stage Cuneo-Pinerolo, in June 10th, 1949.
