Trouf, a mix between a coffee table and a pouf, is the latest design by GamFratesi for Ligne Roset presented at Imm Cologne Fair 2014.

The offset trays are inserted into the upholstered coffee table to create a section to hold food and drinks that can be easily removed and washed when necessary. The remaining soft surface can be used for laptops, books or as a footrest.

"We wanted to join different functions just combining soft and hard surfaces, and create furniture where the different objects or moods find their place informally," says Enrico Fratesi. “The colours that we have selected for these models are soft and nearly muted, but in fact the pouf can be upholstered with very different fabrics and colours so that can be in combination or contrast with the seat in front."

The rounded edges allow an easy passage to the sofa or lounge chair, while small white wooden legs support the structure in a minimalist fashion.

Trouf is on display in Hall 11.3 at imm cologne until Sunday. It will then move on to Maison&Objet in Paris from 24 to 28 January.
