INNER DESIGN PRIVACY POLICY

Objectives
Inner Design's mission is to
link-up design enthusiasts with design industry operators to enable them to be
more interactive in meeting up, exchanging ideas and seizing opportunities to
compare notes. Inner Design's mission is
also connected with its correct use by users, who, by agreeing to the Site's
Terms of Use, declare that they have been informed of the rules governing use
of the Site and about the use made of the data that are thereby obtained to
meet log-in requirements.
Collected
Information
The data used by Inner Design are connected with or
instrumental to the functionality of the Site and will be kept by Inner Design
for the purposes stated in the privacy notice and in compliance with statutory
obligations under civil law and the legislation regulating accountancy and
fiscal and tax matters (so as to be able to trace the perpetrators of any
offences, in the event of specific requests from and on behalf of the competent
authorities).
Inner Design collects and stores the personal data
voluntarily disclosed by Site users for the sole purpose of the Site's
operation. More specifically, Inner Design gathers information when you, as a
Site user, log-on to the web platform; for example, we know when you upload
your photographs, create events and sign up to a group.
In its provision of customized services to registered
users, Inner Design will use cookies to store and sometimes keep track of your
personal data. A cookie is a small file of data that are downloaded onto your
browser by a Web server and subsequently stored in your computer's hard disk.
In particular, cookies enable Inner Design to:
- access the information held in the various user
accounts (stored in our computers) in order to provide a better customized
service (this cookie is created when a user registers with our Site and is
amended over the course of that user's visits to the Site);
- monitor the number of visits to our Site (just one
cookie, used to quantify repeated use of our services and the use made by both
registered and unregistered users, is downloaded to each browser that logs-on
to the Site);
- monitor traffic volume on our Site and verify which
areas a user visits in total;
- track utilization of the
Site and user tendencies, so as to improve the standard of our service and
customize your experience in Inner Design.
Users may delete or block
cookies by using their own browser settings, but in certain cases that can
affect their ability to use Inner Design. What is known as a "permanent" cookie
is sent the first time you log-in to your Inner Design account. The next time
you visit the Inner Design site, that permanent cookie will enable us to
recognize you as a user and you won't have to enter your details before using
our services. Nevertheless, in order to view or alter your confidential
information (such as your credit card details) or send a message to another
user, you will have to enter your details again in secure mode and enter your
password, despite the fact that your computer contains the permanent cookie.
Another kind of cookie, called a "session cookie", serves to identify
individual visits to the Inner Design Site. Session cookies expire shortly
after your browser is closed down.
Cookies shall never cause personal data, such as, for
example, your name, surname, e-mail address or telephone number, to be
disclosed or stored.
Under the Internet
communications standards, when you visit Inner Design, the URL of the site from
which you log-on is automatically recognised. Inner Design also receives the
Internet Protocol ("IP") of your computer (or the server proxy it uses to
log-on to the World Wide Web), your computer's operating system and the browser
model it is using, e-mail models, your mobile device (including its UDID) and
its operating system (if you log-on to Inner Design using a mobile device), as
well as the name of your ISP or mobile telephony operator. Inner Design may
also receive location data sent by third-party services or GPS-enabled devices
that you have activated. Furthermore,
Inner Design receives information when you access Web pages containing
interactive plug-ins. Under no circumstance shall the connection between your
IP address and your personal details be shared with third parties, other than
at the specific request of the Judicial Authorities.
You may revise the personal
information you provide to Inner Design and make the changes you wish to the
information it renders public or to your account settings, including your
e-mail address and preferred methods of contact, at any time, by logging-in to
your Inner Design website account.
Should you wish to close your
Inner Design account, your profile and all the information relating to it will
be deleted. In any event, Inner Design
shall keep some of the data you disclose for a period of three months, in
intelligible form, purely in order to manage account functions and prevent
fraud and/or unauthorized use in the future, whereas said data shall be stored
in anonymous form for the remaining statutory period for administrative/legal
purposes only. In any event,
any contributions you make to Answers or Inner Design Focus Groups shall
continue to be visible even after your account is closed. Other information
that you share with others or that users have copied may likewise continue to
be visible.
Inner Design does not assume
any liability in connection with the deletion or storage (subject to these
Terms of Use) of information or assume any obligation to refrain from deleting
information.
