Description
A kitchen ‘body type’.
Every die plate that crosses the cube cutting marble out, generates room for the right amount of spaghetti for one, two, three or four people.
Type transforms an everyday action into something special, paying homage to one of the most distinctive Italian pasta variety: spaghetti.
The spaghetti doser was born by ‘subtraction’. Studio Lievito’s modus operandi is based on the idea of "dosing" raw materials, whatever the field you work, analyzing the different steps in order to find out any waste: from the kitchen industry to agriculture and politics.
The choice of marble comes from the Studio Lievito’s fondness for their region, Tuscany, which fully expresses the effort and philosophy of creating a link between past and future, the recovery of craftsmanship to warm the modern technology of industrial production.
Type is made by a small artisan studio based in Carrara, one single piece of material, milled and polished by hand: in this way every piece is truly unique with its unrepeatable chromatic combinations.
